Ian is a PGA Golf Professional with nearly 20 years experience in the industry. Since turning professional at just 18, he has a passion for helping golfers gain greater enjoyment from their time out on the course.
Ian has held a variety of roles during this period which range from being a full time coach to management positions such as Director of Golf at one of the most innovative and progressive clubs in the country. However, coaching has always been at the forefront of everything he has achieved and he has become an expert in creating pathways for golfers who are either new to the game, have limited golfing experience or are unengaged golfers simply not playing enough or to the level they know they are capable of.
Ian is now attached at the beautiful East Herts Golf Club near Buntingford and specifically focuses his coaching towards helping golfers that struggle to break 100 and helps them become consistent 90's, 80's and in some cases, even 70's shooters.
Alongside his role at East Herts Golf Club, Ian is currently a Hertfordshire County Coach and has been for the past 14 years. In this role, Ian supports the very best junior golfers within the county as they strive to become elite golfers.
Ian also works for The Professional Golfers Association in which he supports PGA Trainees through their three year foundation degree as they embark on their journey to become the next generation of PGA Professionals
Away from the course, Ian is a sports fanatic who loves to watch and play a variety of sports. He is a big Tottenham Hotspurs fan, loves to ski, taking part in challenges such as Tough Mudder, enjoys a day out at the cricket, likes to cook and has a keen interest in property. However, above all of this he loves spending time with his two beautiful boys (4yrs & 6yrs) who are full of life, energy and fun.
